DIY assembly

If you want to build your own OAS, here's what you'll need to do:

  • obtain a printed circuit board of the Classic Edition design, either by participating in a community group buy or by ordering your own from one of the many quick-turnaround PCB prototyping services around the world
  • purchase all the components on the BOM (bill of materials)
  • solder the components to the board by referring to the PCB layout markings and the schematics to be sure of which component goes where (it's a pretty easy soldering job - it's not for absolute beginners, but it doesn't require any advanced techniques)
  • 3D print the top and bottom parts of the Classic Edition shell case design (or design your own case!)
