Log at debug level when bulk operations complete

It would be nice to log information about bulk flush operations. Perhaps we could generate a hash to use as an identifier for a flush operation, and log at debug level the events that occur while flushing the data for that buffer. This should include a log when the flush begins, a log for any retries, and a log for when it completes.
