Trigging filters action with embedded visualizations in Canvas causes exception

Steps to reproduce:

1. Install logs sample data
2. Open Canvas application and create a new canvas. Add "Airline carrier" embedded visualization.
3. Click on pie chart slice. Expect filter to be created. Instead error is displayed

Filtering on saved searches also causes issues, though it uses the embeddable layer to do the filtering. Looks like it's only filtering on itself, not on other expressions, which maybe is fine but I think counter-intuitive since they all are using filters expression start, so I feel like that could technically be considered showing incorrect data.
