Overview

This is the v2.0.0.0 release of the Electroneum software, and it is part of the network wide update. This major release is aimed at increasing transaction speed and minimising transaction size in preparation for mass adoption and an exponential increase in global transactional volume.

This release of the software presents several major improvements to Electroneum. Some highlights of this release are:

  • Implementation of ASIC resistance
  • Increased of transaction base fee from 0.01 ETN to 0.1 ETN
  • Disabled RingCT
  • Disabled Mixin
  • Mempool life increased to 3 days
  • Move to 2 minute blocks
  • Reduced difficulty window to check every 360 blocks to adjust the difficulty every 12 hours
