This pull request simplifies the developer setup instructions, migrating from a manual link to use the NPM-managed npm link instead.

npm link in the latest npm (shipped with Node 8) is not very useful. as that npm will override the symlinks when you run npm install but that applies to the manual method also.
I'd argue more for yarn link which does not exhibit this issue.

imo if Riot were to switch to using yarn for anything, it should switch to using yarn for everything.

sorry yeah I wasn't clear about that, yarn for link on its own doesn't do anything magic, its npm install that does the damage and would need replacing with

A) an older npm
B) yarn

Yep, we made a choice to advise on manual symlinking rather than npm link.

The instructions now say to use npm link 67e9606

I somehow missed this when doing the whole npm link overhaul, and yet I commented on it before :(
