I understand this application is "mainly" for tracking membership, but was wondering if anyone ever thought of adding an inventory section to it. In our makerspace, much of our equipment inventory was donated by members and it would be nice to track who donated what in the same application.
As well, we're looking into having a tool library and I'm thinking this would be the perfect application to track the loans as well.
If your organization uses something else for these tasks, I'd love to hear about it.
Thanks
James

there are some rudimentary tool modules that were contributed, but they're not maintained AFAIK.

Have you looked into PartKeepr for an inventory system?

No I haven't checked that out but I will. I was thinking that a lot of our equipment comes from our members and it would be easier to track in a member database.

Maybe a bridge for inventory management software? We started using InvenTree and thinking of connecting seltzer.
In this case, contributing members can appear as distributors in the inventory management and thus track who gave what and when

Sounds intriguing! Would need to scope out what that would involve, what info would be exposed, how other systems woudl interface with it etc.
