I am a detail-oriented software engineer with two bachelor's degrees and a background in public safety. My specialization lies in backend Java development and AWS technologies, demonstrated by designing and implementing comprehensive web services. I have a proven track record of contributing to public safety software projects and possess additional skills in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL. With completed projects under my belt and having achieved several rigorous software engineering educational milestones, I am currently in the process of transitioning from emergency services to full-time public safety software development.

As of January 2024, I'm currently working on:
- ✅On October 26, I attended the GOTO EDA Day conference in Nashville. This conference covered Event Driven Architecture and relevant cloud computing services from Amazon Web Services.
- ✅I recently experimented with TAK and Node-Red to simulate 911 CAD XML data into Cursor on Target mapping. I'm looking forward to doing this in real life when I can.
- ✅I attended the Carolina Code Conference in Greeneville, SC. [Completed August 19, 2023]
- ✅Fellow NSS alum, Gabe Guio, and I wrapped up a portfolio website/template project using React. With this template, I launched my personal portfolio website at www.alexdmurillo.com. [Completed August 2023]
- ✅I wanted to brush up on my skills, so I finished up a full stack project that utilizes Java, Javascript, HTML, CSS, and an AWS Lambda. [Completed July 2023]
