#552 was showing all green and no conflicts and a manual reread looked all sensible. However, it deletes test/repair-legacy-accessors.test.js rather than the new name of it, test/test-repair-legacy-accessors.js
In retrospect, it is clear that github saying green + no conflicts doesn't mean that it is green now do to a semantic conflict that escapes its syntactic notice.
