Inspired by the blog post of @StfBauer , I created a user snippet in my VSCode which adds a gulp task to a SPFx project which first syncs the project version number with the webpart version number. Second it adds a "postversion" element calling the created gulp task to the package.json of the SPFx project in the scripts section if it does not already exist.
