[Winding Tree] Crypto Integration into Winding Tree Hotel Explorer

Introduction

Winding Tree wants to disrupt the travel industry and we have started with hotels. Our existing platform currently supports listing of hotel inventory (room types and pricing information). The data is indexed on Ethereum blockchain and the data itself is hosted on Swarm. We provide REST API to access the data, so for frontend development, you don't really need to know about smart contracts development.

Idea description

Our goal is to be able to book accomodation with crypto tokens, mainly our own token LIF or Ether. But the hotels participating in our platform typically don't set their prices in crypto and we get prices in FIAT currencies so we have to incorporate a way to convert FIAT to crypto on demand. We don't have any particular solution in mind, get creative!

Skillset

• Javascript (the intended place to show the prices is our very basic explorer app
• Solidity if you want to work with oracles (and we encourage you to :-))
