understanding about computing the quaternion integration in function propagateState()

Could someone give me a hint about code from Line 352 to Line 368 which shows how to integrate quaternion. I have the bare knowledge and can't understand this. I am looking forward someone can point me to the certain knowledge which helps me understand. Thanks very much.
