Here we describe briefly how to use the data files and scripts available in this website to reproduce the main results of our manuscript "Energy efficiency trade-offs drive nucleotide usage in transcribed regions" published in Nature communications 2016, including statistical tests and figures / supplementary figures.

Download data and sources

Before you start, you should know how to download codes from GitHub. A common way is to use subversion; for example, the command in a Terminal (Linux / Mac OS required) would allow you to download all codes and data from our project:

svn checkout https://github.com/evolgeniusteam/nucleotideSkews

Alternatively, simply go to the Home page of this project and click the "Download ZIP" button on the bottom-right of the webpage.
