First off, I love the idea here. I know many people who are looking to learn java and I think it would be an excellent language to add.

I would be willing to write the exercises for it even, but I can't seem to find where one would do that in a PR.

So I guess this is more of a request for help, if someone could point me in the right direction to adding java as a language I would be more than happy to make a PR for it :)

Check out this repository: https://github.com/exercism/xjava -- also take a look at the contributing guide that is linked to from the README. Also: Thank you ❤️ contributions are very much appreciated!

Oh I see, how do I fetch these, or are they not officially added yet? When running exercism fetch java it returns 0 results.

Yeah, they're not officially there yet. You could fetch specific problems by name, though, I think:

exercism fetch java anagram

Ahh ok. Good to know that someone before me thought of java :P. I'll look at what exists currently and patiently await them being added officially.

@kytrinyx fetching java exercises does'nt work anymore, is this intentional?

It never worked, as far as I can tell. Working on a fix.
