Request Triage Role for @Segmentational

  • I have read and understood the project's Code of Conduct.
  • I also have read and understood the process and best practices around Express triaging.

I request for a triager role for the following GitHub organizations:

  • jshttp
  • pillarjs
  • express

Hey @Segmentational! You didn't tick the organizations you wish to be a part of.

@aravindvnair99 Oh haha I added those fields as I could check them off once I saw that I was added -- but I definitely see why that would be misleading XD

Sure, I just checked them now :D

Hey, guys, I have a few things for us

In reference to a task previously asked of, from @aravindvnair99,

Hey @Segmentational!

Thanks for your interest! Apart from being a triager as @import-brain mentioned, you could also coordinate with @nfantone who's been actively contributing and making progress towards Express 5 release.

I created a GitHub Organization api scrapper using Octokit. But I do need a API token...

Justifiably because I'm new, I probably shouldn't be handed access to even a read-only token. But I've actually had quite some difficulty being able to reach anyone to discuss alternatives...

My email is jacob.sanders@cloudhybrid.io if it's of benefit

Anyways I think the easiest solution would be to provide a link to the scrapper and have one of the maintainers run it -- if this is of interest, let me know, and I'll strip the repo for the bare minimum we'd need to get a list of the contributors.

I'm looking forward to any and all feedback!

Sincerely,

*edit It may be worth discussing with @dougwilson, too -- would this be an acceptable route to take, or would you want to see an alternative approach to getting v5's contributors?

Thank you so much for your interest in contributing to our repository and for taking the time to submit your nomination for the triage role. We truly appreciate your enthusiasm and dedication to our project ❤️

I wanted to reach out to inform you about a recent update to our nomination policy. We've transitioned to accepting nominations exclusively from existing organization members (details). This adjustment is aimed at ensuring a cohesive and efficient process within our team.

While we are unable to proceed with your nomination at this time, please know that your engagement with our project is highly valued. We encourage you to explore our triager guide, which offers comprehensive insights into the responsibilities and best practices associated with the role. Additionally, actively participating in our community discussions, contributing code, and assisting with issue resolution are excellent ways to further demonstrate your commitment and expertise.

Your dedication to our project does not go unnoticed, and we remain hopeful for future opportunities to welcome you into a more formal role within our organization. Should you have any questions or require further guidance, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Thank you once again for your understanding and continued support.
