@SylvainGuittard : yep, good point.

**Note:** you should **not** run the *ezpublish/console* command as root, as it will generate cache files which the webserver and command line users will not be able to update or delete later.

(2) If you are deploying ez publish 5 on windows 7+, you need to run the command as Administrator to avoid the following error:

not that I think it is a good idea to use that OS, but maybe windows Vista qualifies as well here...

Vista (and Windows server 2008) does indeed also support this; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symbolic_link#Windows_7_.26_Vista_symbolic_link

As far as I know, links (NTFS junctions) were introduced in NTFS 5, that first shipped with windows 2000. Vista indeed supports handles it, but it does depend on NTFS being used.
