Trouble react-native init-ing on node v4.0.0?

Using the latest npm version of react-native-cli, I'm trying to react-native init, and getting this:

Could it be possibly related to websockets/utf-8-validate#14?

Just checked and the master branch here npm installs without any problems. So I guess the problem is that the packaged npm version is outdated for node v4?

Is there an expected update?

@israelidanny the published version of RN works on Node 4 but produces those errors that you've encountered. They happen to be errors in optional dependencies so they are less serious than they look, and everything will function as expected.

0.12 should be released next week with better support for Node 4. We are also tracking Node 4 support over here: #2545

Yeah, for the time being I reverted to iojs-v2.5.0 via nvm until node-v4 is better supported
