6.Cores

Overview

The Cores tab lists all cores and their attributes in a table:

Each column may be sorted by clicking on the header.

Toolbar

Button	Label	Description
	Refresh	Refresh the list of cores from Solr
	Add	Add a new core - you will need to provide the name, instance directory, data directory, config filename and schema filename of the new core
	Delete	Delete selected core
	Rename	Rename selected core
	Swap	Swap selected core with another one - useful if you need to swap new content into production
	Reload	Reload selected core - this applies changes you may have made to solrconfig.xml or schema.xml on disk and saves you from restarting Solr
	Reload all	Reload all listed cores - useful if all cores share the same instance directory

Note that some operations need a core to be selected and thus will be disabled until you click on a row.
