Improved Glyph selection (on RGP's suggestion) incorporating dialog:CreateChildUI():DisplaySymbolDialog(). Slicker option key identification and minor related mods.
The "by_layer" suffix was originally used to distinguish this script from an earlier version (now defunct) that used multiple menu items. The distinction now seems redundant and trivial.
Normalised config.glyph as numeric, not text. Tighter code.
