About this project

CivOne is an open source project under the Creative Commons licence, aiming at recreating Sid Meier's Civilization.

I've attempted to provide some pointers and details about the CivOne codebase. The information is incomplete and sparse, as I'm still learning my way around myself. Hopefully something here will give you a hint directing you to code of interest!

You may also wish to examine the PDF and java files in the docs/CivFanatics folder of this repository. These are captures of forum entries from the CivFanatics forum, where logic or behavior of the original Microprose Civilization has been explained or deciphered. In the case of the java files, they are portions of the original Civilization code, reverse-engineered and translated to pseudo-java by darkpanda.
