Smokeview bug ? #7836
Comments
think the problem is that the mesh interface contains both blockages and
open space. fds outputs a boundary patch to the boundary file for the
entire mesh interface (ie both solid and open region). smokeview then
draws the entire region. I will look to if I can draw a subset of a
boundary patch

When loading boundary WALL TEMPERATURE in Smokeview 6.7.10 (FDS 6.7.3)
Smokeview draw a blue sheet between each section. Smokeview 6.7.5 (FDS
6.7.1) don’t. (see attached file)
Is it possible to hide these sheets or is it a bug ?

works in smokeview 6.7.6, fails in smokeview 6.7.7 . just a hunch but bet the fix for FDS issue #5680 is what broke this (fix was made between 6.7.6 and 6.7.7 ) |
try smokeview posted here note, to view the case given in FDS issue #5680 correctly you need to select the Load/Unload>Boundary>Show on mesh interface menu item. Both cases include boundary patches on the mesh interface. In one case (case in FDS issue #5680) we want to see the patch, in this case (FDS issue #7836) we don't want to see the patch. We'll have to set the behavior using this menu item until we can come up witih something better - perhaps a change in fds to not output a patch if we don't want to see it |
to original poster can you check whether smokeview posted at previous link fixes the problem |
Sorry for late feedback. The blue sheet disappeared, but I am not able change bound data under Files/Bounds/Slice/Bound data (temperature slice). So, for now I am using the 6.7.1 version |
I might have done something wrong when I answered this mail on Github –
the issue has disappeared. I wrote this :
