UFO is a fork of the Bitcoin core project. It contains its own set up of certain parameters, such as block times and extra features such as enhanced mining difficulty calculations, protection against 51% attacks and its own hashing algorithm.
UFO is an open source project and additional changes and fixes to those in the source code are managed by the community.

UFO is an experimental digital currency that enables instant payments to anyone, anywhere in the world. UFO uses peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority: managing transactions and issuing money are carried out collectively by the network. UFO Core is the name of open source software which enables the use of this currency.

The latest master branch is regularly built and tested, but is not guaranteed to be
completely stable. Tags are created
regularly to indicate new official, stable release versions of UFO Core.
