I'd like to suggest some fixes to address the errors the feed validator raised. I checked an author feed, but I could go through all the feed types just to make sure I don't miss anything. For example here are the issues raised by the author feed:
Additionally, looks like there are a few other schema links, etc. that would make it perform a little bit better in the browser and in readers (RSS Best Practice Recommendations). Let me know if this seems like an OK pull request to open! |
@rpalo Thanks a lot, I'll assign you the issue! |
Describe the bug
I am using your RSS feed https://dev.to/feed/itnext in one of my applications. From december 2021 i started to get errors from my application that the RSS feed is incorrect.
To Reproduce
Open the RSS feed in a browser and it looks not quite the same as other feeds.
Another way to validate is using the feed validator : https://validator.w3.org/feed/.
Fill in the faulty feed and it replies the feed is not valid. Fill in an example of a correct feed and it will correctly validate.
Expected behavior
I expect the feed to be well constructed.
Please repair the feed so i can use it again in my application.
Kind regards,
Diana van Eijk
