Cannot close e-mail, insufficient permission

I cannot close an e-mail, but can delete it. E-mail originated from unmodified contact form and has been created by "guest" user. The user attempting to close the e-mail has full roles and privileges.

Error message is:
"Not permitted
User do not have document access
Insufficient Permission for Communication"

ERPNext and Frappe Framework at v11.1.4 (master). Installed as production server.

What other information can I provide?

You will need to provide Write privileges to the users required. Out of the box this should work, however I can see that some organisations would not want users to delete any emails

We created a new role for certain users with Write privileges for some users to delete emails.

This may work well for you too.

Thanks, but I may have been unclear. I can delete without issue, and my user has read/write permission on all communications. The option to restrict these permissions to only things the user has made is currently unchecked. Administrator can close the e-mail. I guess the first question is should these emails be owned by guest, and am I missing a permission outside of the "communication" section?
