Contributions

During my time at MIT, I contributed to the GEOS-Chem chemistry transport model in various ways.

  • Coupling of CESM2 global climate model with the GEOS-Chem chemistry module (some more description here), allowing for a fair intercomparison between GEOS-Chem and the native CESM2 chemistry option, CAM-Chem. The most recent coupling interfaces can be found here.
  • Extension of the GEOS-Chem Adjoint to include stratospheric processes. I implemented the Unified Chemistry eXtension (UCX) in the GEOS-Chem Adjoint, unifying the tropospheric and stratospheric chemical representation under one common framework.
  • I am the original developer of the APCEMM aircraft plume model, which models the in-plume chemical and microphysical processes occuring in an aircraft wake. Some results can be found here.
