It is very hard to find the underlying issue. We have this problem in FSharp.Formatting: fsprojects/FSharp.Formatting#325, fsprojects/FSharp.Formatting#201 and fsprojects/FSharp.Formatting#139.

Just telling the name of the missing symbol would help a lot.
Currently I don't have the time to look into this, but I might take another look in the future if nobody fixes it in the meantime.
