Game options
This is the main game settings panel, available both from the Main menu of the game and in the Game pause menu. Use the ↑ ↓ keys to navigate, ← → keys to change the value of the selected item, the Enter key to choose the selected item and the Escape key to go back to the previous menu.
The INPUT
option in this menu is to set the main input device type. If you want to play the keyboard, set it to KEYBOARD
, and if you prefer to play with a controller, select the CONTROLLER
option. Read the section below to learn how to change the mapping.
To go to controls mapping screen, go to the SET UP
option — you will be taken to the Set up keyboard or Set up controller screen, depending on the selected device type. This option is disabled if the selected device is not connected or if it is not working properly.
The SHIFT NTSC
and SHIFT PAL
options are used to change the speed of the automatic shifting of pieces while holding the ← → buttons. The more squares set in the bar, the faster the automatic pieces shifting. By default, the lowest speed is set for both regions, which is compatible with the shifting speed in Nintendo Tetris®.
If you are a more experienced player, you can set a higher speed, which will allow you to stack higher and wait longer for the longbar and thus earn more points. The bricks in these bars represent the number of frames between each piece being automatically shifted one column at a time. Setting the maximum speed means that by holding the ← → button, the piece will be shifted by one column in each frame of the game. The controls will be extremely difficult, but they will allow you to stack to the ceiling. So choose a speed that suits your skill.
Another option is WINDOW
which allows you to choose the size of the game window. Various sizes are available, from native to fullscreen. This option is disabled if exclusive video mode is active, so to be able to use it to resize the window, first turn off the video mode by pressing F11 or double-clicking the left mouse button — then this option will be activated.
The SOUNDS
option allows you to enable or disable sound effects during gameplay and in all menus.
Select BACK
to go back to the previous menu.
