First of all is important to clarify the start procedure.

Start procedure

⚠️ As soon as you get in car, at the beginning of the stage, your car is locked by the handbrake as shown by the handbrake bar ( the purple one). To start driving you need to unlock the handbrake (pressing the button or acting on the device you've set as handbrake controller).

Then you have to start driving to the starting line cause the countdown start to run: you have 27 seconds to reach the starting line (there's the banner across the road and the rally sign to indicate it). In the last 3 seconds you have to keep the car stationary to avoid time penalty (30 sec added) for false start, it's not important how far you're from the starting line, it's more important you keep stationary in that phase.

To follow a recap about in-game interface with the main and optional panels.

⚠️ thanks to @DjFIL007: for the users that have triple monitor but single render:

if using trimonitor the FOV needs to be set to your hFOV x 3... for me this is 144 (3 x 48). https://github.com/gRally/dev/issues/256#issuecomment-144119753
