This is an OS with a desktop environment that runs on RG35xx (H700 series).
It is customized based on StockOS, so there are many functions that have not been analyzed.
Therefore, we do not provide support, so please use it by trial and error.

Introduction

  • Use a 32GB or larger SD card
    • 128GB SDXC is recommended (faster read and write speeds will improve performance)
  • Occasional sound noise
  • Retroarch, PPSSPP, Drastic, pyxel, McAirpos are available
  • Screen brightness adjustment function is not implemented
  • Sleep function is not implemented

Installation procedure

  1. Download the three files "RG35xx_H700_DesktopOS_0.2.7z.001-003"

  • When you start the default frontend and Retroarch, all keymaps are discarded and it will work as a normal game controller.

How to use HDMI

  1. Run "DefaultFrontend.sh" on the desktop
  2. When you connect the HDMI cable, the monitor will automatically switch
  3. Run "App center --> Back_to_Desktop" to close the front end and return to the desktop screen
  4. To return to the LCD screen, run "DefaultFrontend.sh" and then remove the HDMI cable, then run "Back_to_Desktop" to return to the desktop

  • Q. A page error occurs in the browser
    • An error may occur if the time on the device is significantly different. Set the time from menu->preferences->Time and Date

This is an OS with a desktop environment that runs on RG35xx (H700 series).

特徴

  • RG35xx StockOS(H700系)でフロントエンドをRetroarchに変更します
  • OS起動時に最後にプレイしたゲームが自動的に実行されます
  • OS起動中にBボタンを連打する事でデスループを回避する機能を実装(このページの下部にて説明)
  • 充電中はOSが起動しませんので、USBケーブルを抜いてからOSを起動してください
  • USB gadget(mass storage)が利用可能

  • スタンドアローンのdrasticとppssppが起動可能

注意事項

  1. Retroarchのオンラインアップデータ機能を利用する場合は、あらかじめデフォルトのフロントエンド側でWiFiの接続設定を実施しておいてください
  2. StockOSも念の為DLしておいてください

  3. 初回OS起動時の場合は適当なROMファイルをretroarchで実行して、必要なファイルを生成させておいてから次のステップへ進んでください
  4. RAFEではSD2が必須になりますので、RAFE導入前に必ずSD2スロットに挿入しておいてください

使い方

●v4からアップデートをする場合

  • 注意！　v4ではONとOFFのロジックにバグがありますので、v5にアップデートするまではOFFにしないでください
  1. RetroArchFrontEnd_v4.zipを解凍してできた「RAFE-ON.sh」ファイルと「RAFE-OFF.sh」ファイルと「RAFE」フォルダを、SDカード内の「Roms/APPS」に上書きしてください
    • retroarchの設定を上書きしたくない場合は、RAFEフォルダ内の「retroarch.cfg」ファイルを削除してください
  2. retroarchメニュー -> Load Content -> /mnt/sdcard/SD1/Roms/APPS/RAFE-ON.sh を実行してください
    • SD2側の「Roms/APPS」にRAFEを設置した場合のパスは「/mnt/sdcard/SD2」になります

●初期リリースのRAFEをお使いの場合

  1. SDカード内の「Roms/APPS/RAFE」フォルダ内に「RAFE-OFF」という名前で空のファイルを置いてOSを再起動させて、デフォのフロントエンドに戻してください
  2. デフォのフロントエンドに戻した後に以前の「RAFE.sh」と「RAFE」フォルダを削除して、新規導入の手順に進んでください

●新規導入の場合

  1. RetroArchFrontEnd_v5.zipファイルをダウンロードしてください
  2. RetroArchFrontEnd_v5.zipを解凍してできた「RAFE-ON.sh」と「RAFE-OFF.sh」と「RAFE」フォルダをSDカード内の「Roms/APPS」フォルダにコピーします
  3. 「RA Game」→「APPS」→「RAFE-ON」を実行します
StockOSのバージョンによっては次のような手順になります

デフォルトのフロントエンドに戻す方法

retroarchメニュー -> Load Content -> /mnt/sdcard/SD1/Roms/APPS/RAFE-OFF.sh を実行してください

USB gadget(mass storage)の使い方

  • データ転送が可能なUSBケーブルとデバイスを接続してください
    • 接続を終了するときはドライブを右クリックして「取り外す」を実施してください
    • WiFiが利用できるデバイスの場合は次の項目の「SSH接続の方法」を参照してください

SSH接続の方法

  • 準備
    • 事前にデフォルトのフロントエンドからWiFi接続設定をしてください
    • windowsの場合は「winscp」「filezilla」を使うと便利です
    • macOSの場合は「filezilla」を使うと便利です
  • デバイスのIPアドレスの確認
    • retroarchメニュー→information→Network Informationから「wlan0」にIPアドレスが書かれてます
  • 接続情報
    • プロトコル
      • SCPまたはSFTPを選択
    • ポート番号

オーバークロッキングのガバナー(performance)設定手順

  • pyxelのゲームや音が途切れたり動作が不安定なretroarchコアを実行する際にご利用ください
  • drasticおよびppssppは自動的にperformanceモードで実行されます

擬似ハイバネーション

retroarchのホットキー「F-key+B 」を実行するとretroarchとOSがシャットダウンします。
(シャットダウン時に自動的にステートセーブが実行されます)
次回OS起動後に最後にプレイしたゲームが実行されます。
(自動的にステートロードが実行されます)

デスループの回避手順

  1. OS起動中に「Bボタン」を繰り返し押してください
  2. 必要に応じて履歴からデスループしているゲームのステートファイルを一つ前に戻して再実行してください

Features

  • Changes the front end to Retroarch on RG35xx StockOS (H700 series)
  • The last game played will automatically run when the OS starts
  • Implemented a function to avoid death loop by repeatedly pressing the B button while the OS is starting (explained at the bottom of this page)
  • The OS will not start while charging, so please unplug the USB cable before starting the OS

Notes

  1. If you are using Retroarch's online updater function, please set up your WiFi connection on the default frontend beforehand
  2. Please also download StockOS just in case

  3. If this is the first time you start the OS, run a suitable ROM file in retroarch to generate the necessary files before proceeding to the next step
  4. SD2 is required for RAFE, so be sure to insert it into the SD2 slot before installing RAFE

How to use

●If updating from v4

  • Note! There is a bug in the logic of ON and OFF in v4, so do not turn it OFF until you update to v5.
  1. Unzip RetroArchFrontEnd_v4.zip and overwrite the "RAFE-ON.sh" file, "RAFE-OFF.sh" file, and "RAFE" folder in "Roms/APPS" on the SD card.
  • If you do not want to overwrite the retroarch settings, delete the "retroarch.cfg" file in the RAFE folder.
  1. Run retroarch menu -> Load Content -> /mnt/sdcard/SD1/Roms/APPS/RAFE-ON.sh.
  • If you installed RAFE in "Roms/APPS" on the SD2 side, the path will be "/mnt/sdcard/SD2".
    ● If you are using the initial release of RAFE
  1. Place an empty file named "RAFE-OFF" in the "Roms/APPS/RAFE" folder on the SD card and restart the OS to return to the default front end.
  2. After restoring the default frontend, delete the previous "RAFE.sh" and "RAFE" folders and proceed to the new installation procedure.

● For new installation

  1. Download the RetroArchFrontEnd_v5.zip file
  2. Unzip RetroArchFrontEnd_v5.zip and copy the "RAFE-ON.sh", "RAFE-OFF.sh" and "RAFE" folders to the "Roms/APPS" folder on the SD card
  3. Run "RA Game" → "APPS" → "RAFE-ON"

How to return to the default frontend

使い方

●初期リリースのRAFEをお使いの場合

  1. SDカード内の「Roms/APPS/RAFE」フォルダ内に「RAFE-OFF」という名前で空のファイルを置いてOSを再起動させて、デフォのフロントエンドに戻してください
  2. デフォのフロントエンドに戻した後に以前の「RAFE.sh」と「RAFE」フォルダを削除して、新規導入の手順に進んでください

●v3からアップデートをする場合

  1. RetroArchFrontEnd_v4.zipを解凍してできた「RAFE-ON.sh」ファイルと「RAFE-OFF.sh」ファイルと「RAFE」フォルダを、SDカード内の「Roms/APPS」に上書きしてください
    • retroarchの設定を上書きしたくない場合は、RAFEフォルダ内の「retroarch.cfg」ファイルを削除してください
  2. retroarchメニュー -> Load Content -> /mnt/sdcard/SD1/Roms/APPS/RAFE-ON.sh を実行してください

  • Implemented a function to avoid death loop by repeatedly pressing the B button while the OS is starting (explained at the bottom of this page)
  • The OS will not start while charging, so please unplug the USB cable before starting the OS

RetroArchFrontEnd_v2

RG35xx StockOS(H700系)でフロントエンドをRetroarchに変更するスクリプトです。

変更点

  • OS起動時に最後にプレイしたゲームが自動的に実行されるようになりました
  • デスループを回避する機能を実装しました
  • USB充電中にretroarchが起動する問題を解決しました
    • 充電中はOSが起動しませんので、USBケーブルを抜いてからOSを起動してください

注意事項

  1. Retroarchのオンラインアップデータ機能を利用する場合は、あらかじめデフォルトのフロントエンド側でWiFiの接続設定を実施しておいてください
  2. StockOSも念の為DLしておいてください

  3. 初回OS起動時の場合は適当なROMファイルをretroarchで実行して、必要なファイルを生成させておいてから次のステップへ進んでください

使い方

注意！　

  • 以前のRAFEをお使いの場合はSDカード内の「Roms/APPS/RAFE」フォルダ内に「RAFE-OFF」という名前で空のファイルを置いてOSを再起動させて、デフォのフロントエンドに戻してください
    • デフォのフロントエンドに戻した後に以前の「RAFE.sh」と「RAFE」フォルダを削除してください

手順

  1. RetroArchFrontEnd_v2.zipファイルをダウンロードしてください
  2. RetroArchFrontEnd_v2.zipを解凍してできた「RAFE-ON.sh」と「RAFE-OFF.sh」と「RAFE」フォルダをSDカード内の「Roms/APPS」フォルダにコピーします
  3. 「RA Game」→「APPS」→「RAFE-ON」を実行します
StockOSのバージョンによっては次のような手順になります

「App Center」→「APPS」→「RAFE-ON」を実行します

デフォルトのフロントエンドに戻す方法

  1. retroarchメニューの「Load Content」から「/mnt/sdcard/SD1/Roms/APPS」フォルダ内の「RAFE-OFF.sh」を実行してください
  • SD2側の「Roms/APPS」にRAFEを設置した場合のパスは「/mnt/sdcard/SD2/Roms/APPS」になります

Retroarchのホットキー

機種によってはキーバインドが異なるため、キー配置が異なる場合はホットキーの再設定をお願いします

擬似ハイバネーション

retroarchのホットキー「F-key+B 」を実行するとretroarchとOSがシャットダウンします。
(シャットダウン時に自動的にステートセーブが実行されます)
次回OS起動後に最後にプレイしたゲームが実行されます。
(自動的にステートロードが実行されます)

デスループの回避手順

  1. OS起動中に「Bボタン」を繰り返し押してください
  2. 必要に応じて履歴からデスループしているゲームのステートファイルを一つ前に戻して再実行してください

RetroArchFrontEnd_v2

This is a script to change the front end to Retroarch on RG35xx StockOS (H700 series).

Changes

  • The last game played will now automatically start when the OS starts
  • Implemented a function to avoid death loops
  • Solved the issue of retroarch starting while charging via USB
    • The OS will not start while charging, so please unplug the USB cable before starting the OS.

Notes

  1. If you want to use the Retroarch online updater function, please set up the WiFi connection on the default front end beforehand.
  2. Please download StockOS as well just to be safe.

  3. If this is the first time you start up the OS, run the appropriate ROM file with retroarch to generate the necessary files before proceeding to the next step.

How to use

Caution! - If you are using the previous version of RAFE, place an empty file named "RAFE-OFF" in the "Roms/APPS/RAFE" folder on the SD card, restart the OS, and restore the default front end. - After restoring the default front end, delete the previous "RAFE.sh" and "RAFE folder".

Steps

  1. Download the RetroArchFrontEnd_v2.zip file.
  2. Unzip RetroArchFrontEnd_v2.zip and copy the resulting "RAFE-ON.sh", "RAFE-OFF.sh", and "RAFE" folders to the "Roms/APPS" folder on the SD card.
  3. Run "RA Game" → "APPS" → "RAFE-ON".
Depending on the version of StockOS, the procedure may be as follows.

Run "App Center" → "APPS" → "RAFE-ON".

How to restore the default front end

  1. In the retroarch menu, select "Load Content" and run "RAFE-OFF.sh" in the "/mnt/sdcard/SD1/Roms/APPS" folder.
  • If you installed RAFE in "Roms/APPS" on the SD2 side, the path will be "/mnt/sdcard/SD2/Roms/APPS".

Create playlist

Retroarch menu → Playlist → Import content → Scan directory → Select SD1 or SD2 → Roms → Scan this directory

Retroarch menu → Online updater → Playlist thumbnail updater → Select playlist

Pseudo hibernation

When you execute the retroarch hotkey "F-key+B", retroarch and the OS will shut down.
(State save will be performed automatically at shutdown)
The last game played will be executed the next time the OS is started.
(State load will be performed automatically)

Steps to avoid death loop

  1. Press the "B button" repeatedly while the OS is starting
  2. If necessary, go back to the previous state file of the game in the death loop from the history and rerun it

python3.8.19_pyxel2.0.11

RG35xx H700系OSで利用可能なpython3.8.19＋pyxel2.0.11のセットファイルです。
finardryを起動するためのスクリプト「finardry.sh」を内包しています。
他のpyxelゲームを起動したい場合は「finardry.sh」ファイルを参考にして別途スクリプトの作成をしてください。

利用可能なOS

  • batocera Linux
  • StocOS(検証中)
    • コントローラーが効きませんが、USBコントローラやUSBキーボードでゲームプレイすることは可能です

Batoceraでfinardryをプレイする方法

  1. このページの下にある　「python3.8.19.tar.gz」　をダウンロードします
  2. python3.8.19.tar.gzを解凍します
  3. 解凍してできた「python3.8.19」フォルダをSDカードの「roms/ports」フォルダにコピーします
  4. 下記のサイトから「finardry240.pyxapp」ファイルをダウンロードします
  5. 「finardry240.pyxapp」ファイルをSDカードの「roms/pyxel」フォルダにコピーします
    • 「roms/pyxel」フォルダがない場合は新規作成してください
  6. SDカードをRG35xxにセットしてOSを起動します
  7. portsセクションから「finardry」を実行します
    • finardryの初回起動時にメニュー画面に「セーブ」が表示されない場合は、一度ゲームを終了して再度起動してください

python3.8.19_pyxel2.0.11

This is a set file of python3.8.19+pyxel2.0.11 that can be used on RG35xx H700 series OS.
It includes the script "finardry.sh" to start findry.
If you want to start another pyxel game, please create a separate script using the "finardry.sh" file as a reference.

Available OS

  • batocera Linux
  • StocOS (under verification)
    • Although the controller does not work, it is possible to play the game with a USB controller or USB keyboard

How to play findardry in Batocera

  1. Download "python3.8.19.tar.gz" at the bottom of this page
  2. Unzip python3.8.19.tar.gz
  3. Copy the unzipped "python3.8.19" folder to the "roms/ports" folder on the SD card
  4. Download the “finardry240.pyxapp” file from the site below
  5. Copy the “finardry240.pyxapp” file to the “roms/pyxel” folder on the SD card
    • If the "roms/pyxel" folder does not exist, please create a new one.
  6. Insert the SD card into the RG35xx and start the OS
  7. Run “findry” from the ports section
    • If "Save" is not displayed on the menu screen when starting findry for the first time, please close the game and restart it.

使い方

  1. リリースページから「cpu_governor.tar.gz」ファイルをダウンロードする
  2. cpu_governor.tar.gzを解凍して「cpu_governor.sh」ファイルと「governor」フォルダをStckOSのSDカード内の「Roms/APPS」ディレクトリにコピーする
  3. SDカードをRG35xxに接続して電源をONにする
  4. 「RA Game」→「APPS」→「cpu_governor」を実行する
