See geneontology/go-annotation#4338

To annotate genes that increase levels of inorganic pyrophosphate, a mineralization inhibitor that prevents ossification/mineralization of non-bone tissue.

Parent could be: GO:0001894 tissue homeostasis

definition: A homeostatic process involved in the maintenance of non-mineral tissue, by preventing ectopic mineralization of non-bone tissue.

@deustp01 @ukemi @hdrabkin

I removed 'ectopic' from both the term definition and the term label.

Thanks, Pascale

However this results in:

label: inhibition of tissue mineralization
def: "A homeostatic process involved in the maintenance of non-mineral tissue, by preventing mineralization of non-bone tissue."

I think we are loosing some nuance here. How about: inhibition of non-skeletal tissue mineralization, def: A homeostatic process involved in the maintenance of non-mineral tissue, by preventing mineralization of non-skeletal tissue.

There is no term in Uberon that groups all soft tissues, but skeletal tissue includes bones, cartilage and teeth.

What do you think ?
