We have noticed that
The file used for our PAINT load
ftp://ftp.geneontology.org/pub/go/gene-associations/submission/paint/pre-submission/gene_association.paint_mgi.gz

has not been updated since 12/5
We fetch this file to load our PAINT annotations into mgi.

What is the frequency of update of this file.

As of 01/09/2017, the files are still dated 12/5/2016.

One of the reasons we are trying to determine how often the PAINT files get updated is that Harold noticed on Dec 12th, 2016 that our PAINT load is producing an error:

Invalid or Obsolete Term (7989) GO:0050983

This term for "GO:0050983 - deoxyhypusine biosynthetic process from spermidine" was obsoleted in early November (see geneontology/go-ontology#12723 for details.)

A month later in January, we are still getting this same error for the obsolete GO ID, so we are wondering how often the scripts run to process the primary PAINT GAFs that curators save into the ones loaded by MODs.

The family that contains the annotation to the now obsolete term is DEOXYHYPUSINE SYNTHASE (PTHR11703), originally curated by Marc in May 2016.
