To be honest, I don't really see value in this. It's replacing a dead homepage with some random external project site that doesn't seem to have any apparent value to users, except for hiding the fact that it's dead and stinking.

It didn't look random to me, in fact, I thought it was pretty canonical as it shows that it was registered by Martin Pitt, the original author of pmount. The github.com/nevun/pmount was clearly a fork, and using the Debian package site didn't seem correct either.

As to it being too old, I cannot really comment on that. I was just fixing an open bug. Also, more distro's are still using it (even included in Debian 10), so it seemed like it hasn't outlived its usefulness (unlike some other dead packages I find in the Portage tree).
