I will take a look. Regards, On Monday 10 March 2014 08:24:48 George Galt wrote:

Georg: I wanted to add this bit of information. When I used nm and readelf, this is the relevant output for your filter_stabilize.so: readelf -Ws /usr/lib64/transcode/filter_stabilize.so | grep vsSimpleMotionsToTransform nm -g /usr/lib64/transcode/filter_stabilize.so | grep vsSimpleMotionsToTransform Both of these tools show the symbol as undefined. I haven't tried compiling from your source, but I'll give that a shot tonight. This output is from the binaries I downloaded from your site at: http://public.hronopik.de/vid.stab/files/vid.stab-0.98-transcode-1.1-binary-x86_64.tgz George |
Hi George, please try again. I updated the binaries and the source. There was indeed a Georg On Monday 10 March 2014 08:24:48 George Galt wrote:

Georg: That worked!! I'm on to the next problem which is I get a seg fault in transcode when I attempt to use the transform filter. I'm not sure this is your issue, so feel free to ignore it. Here is the command line and backtrace: $ transcode -J transform -i GOPR4066.MP4 -y ffmpeg -F h264 -o GOPRO4066_STAB.MP4 [filter_unsharp.so] unsharp: 5x5:0.80 (sharpen luma) |
Georg: Ignore the last. I missed the bit about having to compile ffmpeg yourself. "-y xvid" works. George |
Hi, transcode is really old now an not maintained, so it become more and more On Wednesday 12 March 2014 19:33:19 George Galt wrote:

I'm just starting to work with vid.stab, but hit this error immediately:
Unable to load filter stabilize: /usr/lib64/transcode/filter_stabilize.so: undefined symbol: vsSimpleMotionsToTransform
I'm on Fedora 20 x86_64 and transcode is installed via yum and Fedora repos in /usr/lib64/transcode. I've used both the transcode plugins from your webpage and from the original Fedora RPM and get the error with both. The version of transcode installed by Fedora is "transcode v1.1.7 (C) 2001-2003 Thomas Oestreich, 2003-2010 Transcode Team". Any thoughts?
George
