what about package.json and printing here?
Maybe it is useful for the next times to have a precise list of files locations where the version need to be changed

what about package.json

package.json will be updated at the end of the process (there is a specific step for it).
Essentially it doesn't have a "snapshot state" so from the moment of the release branch we have a 0.x.0. On every commit we update that version. Then after the effective release we increase to 0.x.1 (that will be the version of the next release) and so on ...

and printing here? Maybe it is useful for the next times to have a precise list of files locations where the version need to be changed

This looks not have been fixed at 2023.01.00 release time.
I'm going to fix to geosolutions 2.2.0
