Gephi 0.8.1 Beta / Linux x64 / Java 1.7

When exporting graphs to .PNG (and SVG and ...):

The labels of nodes which are near the border of the export are clipped.

When the background of the exported image is set to transparent, the transparent attribute can not be reset. De-selecting the select-box has no effect. Gephi must be restarted in order to reset the "transparent background" for exports
