This is a very simple and basic application for Node JS and Express JS with Swagger 2.0 and Swagger UI. This application explains usage of Swagger UI in Node based application, easy execution and testing for REST APIs using Open API Swagger 2.0 Documentation with minimum efforts required at client side.

Getting Started

This sample code is fully executable on its own based on the prerequisites are set up properly.

Prerequisites

You are required to have few tools before you start with using the source code.

• NodeJS
• Express JS
• Swagger UI
• Mongo DB (NoSQL) Database
• Git

Install NodeJS and MongoDB Database for the OS platform you are using.

Setup Code Base

Use below URL to Clone Source Code

git clone https://github.com/get2mandar/express-swagger-app.git

Build a Project Node Package Manager.
Execute below command to build Application using npm.

## Go into the repository
$ cd express-swagger-app
## Install dependencies
$ npm install

Run

To execute this Application, use below npm command.

## Make sure that you are in directory 'express-swagger-app'
## Run the app
$ npm run dev
