I would like to shut down or archive our website. How do I go about doing that?

There is a plugin named maintenance. It can disable the site temporarily. https://github.com/getgrav/grav-plugin-maintenance

The text is customizable.

Didn't see any screenshots, not sure what you mean by "I need to shut off services and obtain the URL in order to activate our new website"

Do you need access to your site but cannot login? If you have FTP or SSH access to the site you can manually reset the account password.

If you mean you are no longer going to use the Grav website, but have another website you want to link the domain to, then that's not a Grav question at all. You just need to udpate your DNS records to point your domain to the IP address of the new site.

Discord is the better medium for getting help with Grav although it sounds like it's not a Grav question anyway. https://getgrav.org/discord

Just to clarify, Grav is purely an open source CMS platform. Ie, it's the free tool your site is built with (like wordpress). Grav is not a hosted service, so your previous website developer purchased some hosting and installed and setup Grav on it. You probably should talk to him if possible.

We/Grav just created the software, we didn't implment it for your site, so you should really be asking the people/person who did that for you.
