Based on a Training team discussion, the curriculum "slides" would benefit from a summary or objectives "what you'll learn" list at the very beginning of the content.

I can see how it would be helpful to have a specially styled section of "what should I expect in this section?"

Also, what if we pulled this into a template and used it both on this page
and somehow used it on just '/kit'?

We keep linking people to /kit as if it explains anything that we'll cover
in class at the detail they probably want.

If I had to pick one or the other, context wins, and I'd have it on the
class itself. The one thing I'd note is that we probably should not have it
inside of each section but just as a table of contents of sorts

Brainstormed with @brntbeer, @jordanmccullough in Colorado on next steps here:

  • Do the simplest thing that works
  • Chapter/section at the front of the deck that covers "what will we learn today?"
  • Could be text section or some slides at the front of the deck
  • "Checkmarks" as a way to keep track of progress through outline of topics
  • Could serve as a summary for purchasers ("what am I buying?") or for students ("what am I going to learn?") and with the checkboxes, at the end of sections or end of day "what did I learn?"
  • Can think about "iteration 2" in the future for pulling out the summary of topics into a separate page or to the front of each chapter of the class

Now that the checklist feature first-draft is implemented here, closing this issue in favor of the #292.
