Hi,
I'm a sysadmin, and I've been using CherryTree for years. I use it as my personal knowledge management tool, for work related stuff but also for personal, non computer related stuff.
I was excited when I saw v1.0.0 appear in my package manager today, so I went to read the release notes, and I have to admit that I felt a bit disappointed when I saw it contains no big changes. But then I thought, CherryTree already meets my needs, and it's one of the most useful pieces of software I use every day.
I don't know why you choose to make the switch to v1.0.0 today, but in my opinion CherryTree has been stable for years, so it's a good idea to switch to v.1.0.0 =)
So I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for the project, that's why I just donated 100€ and made this post !

Hi @sylvainfaivre thank you very much for your generous donation! :)
I was meant to transition much earlier to v1.0.0 but got discouraged from users reporting data loss from time to time.
In the last few versions though I have reviewed a lot the data saving and backups and added several unit tests, so I felt the time was right for some optimism.
Also now I will be able to finally describe major changes / minor changes / bugfixes only.
