I would like to suggest that gitea allows "mass-assign" issues to a project, similar to labels.

You can just select multiple issues and choose a label for all of them. Similarly, I would like to be able to select multiple issues and assign them to one project at once.

Edit: Clarified what I meant.

That is currently not possible in the slightest as one issue can only be assigned to one project at the same time.

That was generated by simply selecting an additional project.

I definitely agree, however, that either Gitea should not imply that an issue can be assigned to multiple projects, or implement multi-project assignments.
For most use cases, one project per issue suffices.
For now, I think its way easier to simply restrict issues to one project.
There is a reason behind that: The whole "Project"-backend is built around issues having only one dependent project. Adding issues to multiple projects increases complexity and potential errors by far.

I might have been wrong here. I'll test out the proposed solution now.

I edited the issue to clarify what I meant, @delvh, since your answer seemed misunderstanding.

Ah, I see.
I thought you wanted to assign an issue to multiple projects, not that you wanted to assign multiple issues to the same projects.
