x/website: "Contribution Guide" is hard to find #50849

@zephyrtronium

Description

@zephyrtronium

What is the URL of the page with the issue?

https://go.dev/doc/contribute

What is your user agent?

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:96.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/96.0

What did you do?

Looked for the contribution guide, since it has been a while. I don't remember the URL of the page.

What did you expect to see?

A link on go.dev/doc.

What did you see instead?

No such link. The way I found it was "Get Started" -> "view the install documentation" -> "Installing Go from source" -> "contribute your changes," following links in a variety of places on their respective pages.

Granted, I could have found it from the contribution guidelines here on GitHub, but I didn't expect it to be so hard to find on go.dev.
