For example on github.com there are some avatars0.githubusercontent.com, avatars1.githubusercontent.com entries but no githubusercontent.com entry. (Changes can manually added by the settings -> my rules tab)

Would be great if the root domain would be shown in the Matrix

avatars0.githubusercontent.com is the root domain. githubusercontent.com is listed as a suffix in the Public Suffix List.

Due to a Chromium issue about not providing the proper context
information, a negative side-effect was introduced with fix
to #155. This commit will force the originator of a network
request of type `main_frame` to be that of the request URL
itself, i.e. the originator of a top-level document request
is the requested document itself.
