  • What Grafana version are you using? 4.5.2

  • What datasource are you using? InfluxDB

  • What OS are you running grafana on? Linux

  • What did you do?
Used the unit "ops/sec" for y-axis.

  • What was the expected result?
Have an unambiguous unit displayed in the y-axis.

  • What happened instead?
Have an ambiguous unit displayed in the y-axis. For example the full unit name is "ops/sec", yet the y-axis unit says "ops". This is confusing as "ops" could be short for "operations" or "operations per second".

It would be better if the unit were shortened as it is for others such as "meters per second" which is displayed as "m/s". The "/" as a rate indicator is much less ambiguous than "p".

While digging up this issue to see if it was addressed yet, I stumbled across #7250 which is for the exact same thing. As that one predates this, I'm closing this as it's a duplicate.
