Omakase Charity is a new philanthropy-as-a-service for geeks. I heard from founder Theresa Preston-Werner via email to support@gittip.com regarding a potential partnership. We'd probably need to solve #249 first or in the process, but here's a ticket specifically about Omakase + Gittip.

I assume they never responded. Maybe we should try sending another email?

Unless we've heard more, we should close this due to inactivity.

Changing priority from one star to two. Let's move this forward or close.

What are the possibilities here?

Here's our Github account: omakasecharity
So sorry I didn't get on this right away.
It sounds neat to be able to accept donations to grow our business from Gittip users. Happy to help you think through the tax exempt process.

@tpdubs2 Thanks for joining us here! What needs to happen before you're comfortable with OmakaseCharity joining Gittip and accepting donations there? The way this would work would be to sign into Twitter as OmakaseCharity, and then visit:

https://www.gittip.com/on/twitter/OmakaseCharity/

And "Click here to opt in to Gittip." Then Gittip users could include OmakaseCharity in their weekly giving, and the money would clear to your bank account every Friday.
