electron-gradle-example

An example of building and packaging an Electron application using Gradle.

Building the Example

Run the following command to build the example application:

./gradlew npm_install

Running the Example

Run the following command to start the example application during development:

./gradlew npm_start

If during the course of development you need to clear the node_modules directory, run the following command:

./gradlew npm_clean

Packaging the Example

Run the following command to package the example as a native electron application:

./gradlew npm_run_dist

This command will create an installer in the dist folder. By default the build command will only generate an installer for the current platform and architecture.
