Scratch

A scratchpad for your menu bar.

Use it for quick notes, copying multiple items, removing formatting from copied text, or whatever else!

Installation

You can build the app directly from source by downloading this repository and opening it in Xcode.

Or –

1. Download the latest release from the releases page or click this direct download link
2. Unzip the file
3. Move the app to your Applications folder
4. Open the app

First-time launch

The first time you launch the app, Gatekeeper on MacOS will prevent you from running the app. To open the app, follow these steps:

1. Open System Preferences
2. Go to Security & Privacy
3. On older macOS versions, click the lock icon in the bottom left corner and enter your password
4. Scroll to the bottom till you find a message saying: "Scratch was blocked from opening because it is not from an identified developer"
5. Click "Open Anyway" and then click "Open" on the next prompt
