You can build the app directly from source by downloading this repository and opening it in Xcode.
Or –
- Download the latest release from the releases page or click this direct download link
- Unzip the file
- Move the app to your Applications folder
- Open the app
The first time you launch the app, Gatekeeper on MacOS will prevent you from running the app. To open the app, follow these steps:
- Open System Preferences
- Go to Security & Privacy
- On older macOS versions, click the lock icon in the bottom left corner and enter your password
- Scroll to the bottom till you find a message saying: "Scratch was blocked from opening because it is not from an identified developer"
- Click "Open Anyway" and then click "Open" on the next prompt
