or use JitPack

Usage

The minimum API is 15. Working with API 24

public void openGallery() {
      startActivityForResult(new GalleryHelper()
                    .setMultiselection(true)
                    .setMaxSelectedItems(maxSelectedItems)
                    .setShowVideos(showVideos))
                    .getCallingIntent(this), REQUEST_CODE_GALLERY);
}

@Override
protected void onActivityResult(int requestCode, int resultCode, Intent data) {
    super.onActivityResult(requestCode, resultCode, data);
    if (requestCode == REQUEST_CODE_GALLERY && resultCode == RESULT_OK) {
        List<GalleryMedia> galleryMedias =
                data.getParcelableArrayListExtra(GalleryActivity.RESULT_GALLERY_MEDIA_LIST);

    }
}

The results are returned within data Intent of onActivityResult. GalleryMedia is a simple model for returning the data.

public class GalleryMedia implements Comparable<GalleryMedia>, Parcelable {

    long id;
    String mediaUri;
    String mimeType;
    long duration;
    long dateTaken;
    ...
}

Parameters
