PB Listing & Property Record updates & our website synching #253
Comments
So, I think there are three issue/questions here:
Does that sum it up? |
I'm not sure. I know there is a button that reads "synch to property record" which they do and did. the rest, I'm not sure. Can you confirm with PB team? I am only able to identify things as I don't understand all of this and how the relational database works. Just when we think we understand it, we don't. Any expertise and advise would be helpful. thanks |
Got and will do. But just to be clear - what data did not get synced? On Mon, Oct 3, 2016 at 3:15 PM, johnsisland notifications@github.com

The change they made to the "Original price" field was in fact updated (just not tracked for activity history which is something I can change). We are just wondering why we see the website fields updated immediately afterwards in the Activity History and then worried why or if we are updating old or current listing records, is it creating undesirable syncing issues in regards to the web. Then I noticed that the URL field wasn't even filled in, and it should with the JIRE website URL for that listing. |
OK. So I'm getting a bit more confused, so I'm going to try and take it one thing at a time.
This is where Lief and I came up with some pretty intricate logic to determine which listing should be synced because: a) The property has eight listings So in that specific case, the website grabs the listing with the most recent "Listing Date" and updates that one |
Oh and finally. I just went here http://www.johnsislandrealestate.com/refinery/listings/300-sea-oak-drive/edit and hit "Save" and the app synced it to https://na16.salesforce.com/a09j00000098CHSAA2 If this isn't happening, it's probably because someone didn't hit the "Save" button and I need more details as to what they changed, how they changed it and when. |
I took this to PB via basecamp: https://basecamp.com/1935826/projects/7487267/messages/62950114 |
@johnsisland I still haven't gotten a response on this. Is there a way to escalate it outside of basecamp? |
@johnsisland according to Anthony, this should be fixed. Please let me know if you continue to see it. |
Candy & Alice are updating past Listing records in PB (due to missing info or incorrect info), which syncs it to the Property record, too. They noticed in the PB history section, that their change may not be recorded (due to our tracking PB field settings), but did notice other fields were updated that they didn't touch. It appears those other updates are the website syncing fields.
We're wondering what ramifications there may be when our staff is updating our PB Listing records (or current records) which in turn updates the Property records, and the website synching. Is this affecting the PB/Website synching in any negative way (ie out of order?).
Example PB record "300 Sea Oak Drive": https://na16.salesforce.com/a0Cj0000009kPW7
Candy had updated the “Original list price” field. Notice the history section dated today (10/3).
In addition, I noticed the example above isn't recording the unique URL address per our website. Why?
