STARFIELD

Introduction

A sensational audio-visual starfield.
STARFIELD is a HTML5 + JavaScript experiment.

Installation

1. Clone this repository.
2. Open index.html in some modern web browser with JavaScript enabled.

Audio visualisation

Sound requires HTML5 audio + Web Audio API support. The latest version of Chrome is fully supported. Check Can I Use Web Audio API? for browser support.

The current UI (and STARFIELD!) is a little wonky, and is due for a rewrite.

To use the visualisation:

1. Input audio file location into the input box. This can be a static .ogg/.mp3 file, a radio stream, or a local file (file:///). Local files will only be read if STARFIELD is run locally.
2. Click the audio button.

Or, directly link to a visualisation by appending #!<URL>.

NB. Rotation, colourise, and hyperspace options are over-ridden by visualisation.
