  • Add to next agenda. We need to review the users to make sure they are being associated with 1 or more brigades. Also, we need to update this issue to add URL for the brigade, and possibly meetup URL.
Create Table: organization (formerly brigade) #56

  • Bonnie(from above): Review the issue from the website team. What I am trying to figure out before I green-light it, is given how we intend to store the data in people depot, should I approach storing this data differently on the website team, so that we don't have to refactor the so many pages when we launch people depot.

    • Possibly this? ER: Rationalizing the sponsors and partners info in code base website#6819

    • meeting note: the proposed way looks compatible with our data and the website should be able to query the same data from PD in the future. The instances are just affiliate_project_xref table records.

      File format/schema from the issue
      - name: [affiliate name]
        image:
        link:
        instance:
          - location: [project 1 name]
             type:
             position:
             start date:
             end date:
          - location: [project 2 name]
             type: partner
             position:
             start date:
             end date:

  • put recurring issues in Ongoing? Rename the column Recurring? Automation to bring it out of Ice Box every 3 months?

    • update project software dependencies quarterly (for security)
      • docker image and installed package versions
      • python and python package versions
      • pre-commit plugin versions
    • meeting note: security check issues should be generated by automation and closed when they're done
  • need to have project status initial data for Create Table: project_status (used to say project_program_area_status) #46

    • meeting note: it's in the last comment now and need to be added to the spreadsheet
  • question: issue complexity vs. size

    • how are they different? What are they estimates for? is complexity like the number of steps? points is the amount of time to complete it?
    • does it take into account learning the system? like following the developer guides?
      • modify table issues are Small because there's less changes there than creating the table
      • create table issues are Small? because it's straightforward following the guide, but maybe Medium? because there's that many steps involved.
      • crate table + initial data issues are Medium because they're bigger than create table. Or maybe Large? if create table is Medium.
    • meeting note: Complexity has to to with how prescriptive the issue is. A small issue tells the volunteer in detail exactly how to complete the issue. A large issue would depend more on the volunteer doing their own work to figure things out. Size is an estimate of how long a new person would need to complete the task.
